Full Moon Festival Night is a Mid-Autumn Festival game for children aged 4 and up, with five festival nights from the 11th to the full moon on the 15th of the eighth lunar month. Each night the moon grows a little rounder and the village has four corners to light in any order. In the lantern workshop, tap numbered dots to bend the bamboo frame, cover it with coloured paper following a simple rule such as mirror symmetry, two alternating colours or all different colours, and light a round, carp, butterfly or star lantern. In the kitchen, read a picture order, choose baked or snow-skin dough and the matching wooden mould, and press enough mooncakes to fill the box. The lion dance practises rhythm memory: listen to the drum, cymbals and gong, then play them back so the lion dances for each house. The feast tray builds counting, a pomelo dog and a mirror-symmetric arrangement. Light all four corners and the whole village parades with the lanterns you made.
